Mama Bear's Conscious Cafe

Mama Bear's opened in August 2007 to serve only local and organic food to our customers, specializing in menus that offer an array of choices for all dietary needs such as vegans, vegetarians, and Celiac Disease Sufferers. We use ingredients and products that come from local mid-Michigan farmers that never have pesticides, hormones, nitrates, MSG, or any of that scary processed-food stuff! We are committed to enhancing our nearby Old Town area, as it continues to grow and flourish with each new added business, and look forward to our busy summer of upcoming festivals and live music performances, many of which are held literally right outside our front door. New projects for us coming up this spring and summer are a compost area, a large recycling station, a potted herb garden, and a patio! We sponsor interns from nearby LCC and MSU, and work closely with the MSU Student Organic Farm in our united fight against the corporate food system. (more...)
