Dogtown Pizza is a traveling pizza company that uses local and organic ingredients to create Old World Italian-style pizzas in our handmade wood-fired oven. Our dough, the cornerstone of great pizza, is made using top-quality organic flour milled in North Carolina and a traditional cold-rise process. We make our own sauce from organic tomatoes, our own mozzarella from local dairy farms, and our own fennel sausage using pork from Bright's Farm here in Floyd, Virginia. We also use seasonal vegetables from local farms such as Five Penny, Full Circle, Moon Indigo, and Grass Roots. Dogtown Pizza is available for catering and private parties, as well as public festivals and events. Our signature gourmet pizzas are Margherita, Five Cheese, Pepperoni, Fennel Sausage/Carmelized Onion, and Harvest Veggie. We have done unique pizzas for special events in the past--apple pizzas at a cider house, merlot sauces at wineries, breakfast pizzas for brunch, or dessert pizzas for a decadent treat--and can always create any pizza for any event and any catering budget. Our oven is on wheels and self-contained, so we can serve you your unique pizzas in your unique location.
