Fox Creek Farm Forever

By: Jennifer Mosher    (Apr 25, 2008)

We've been members of Fox Creek Farm CSA since its first year, and intend to be members as long as there's a CSA (which we expect to be a long, long time!) The wide variety of produce is always excellent quality. It's all so fresh and abundant that it really lasts all the way till the next pickup, and we often have extra even then. The greens, beans and snow/snap peas are tender, the carrots sweet, the radishes tangy, the herbs flavorful, the tomatoes succulent - everything picked at its peak, neither too early nor too late. I made the best tomato sauce ever from FCF tomatoes, onions, garlic and basil last fall. The variety of vegetables FCF offers is too wide to mention all of them, but you get my point. Not only are the veggies great, but so is the social aspect of the farm. Sara and Raymond host wonderful potlucks at the farm, full of good food and great company, beautiful walks on the property and educational opportunities as well. Every pickup day is a friendly, well-organized experience. Each weekly newsletter contains recipes using that week's produce, also a helpful feature. An additional perk of membership is the beautiful bouquets we can cut from FCF's abundant flower beds, perfect for setting off delicious meals made with FCF veggies and herbs. All in all, Fox Creek Farm is a great "forever CSA!"
