Fox Creek Farm: A model for the future face of local farming
By: mike warner (Apr 25, 2008)
We have been members since they started with only 10 shares. One would think that as the CSA increased in members many times over, that the personal attention and quality of share might have gone down. Just the opposite is true. As the years have passed the quality and variety of our share has continued to improve. The community created by the CSA has become a freindly, active group. The potlucks with swimming (or snowshoeing in the winter), good food and fellowship are an added bonus. The ability to cut fresh flowers and herbs is a plus. This is a well planned operation which should be self sustaining and shows a way for more locally produced fresh food in a time when this is becoming increasing important for global reasons.
