Customer Review for: suffern farmers' market

All Reviews   Post Review

A gem; local & convenient
By: J Mastrangelo    (Nov 8, 2008)

The Suffern Farmers' Market is a delightful gem situated in heart of downtown Suffern by the train station. If you get there early, there's free parking, and the best selection awaits you.

For the kids, there's music, entertainment, baked goods and, during the summer, frequent craft activities. The vendors are warm and friendly, and go out of their way to help you if you have any questions or need assistance.

Even at the end of the season (November), there was still a delightful assortment of products from which to choose, including:

- Baked goods (pies, breads, cookies, quiche)

- Italian market goods (fresh mozzarella, sauces, ravioli, etc.)

- Fruits & vegetables (a full complement of apple varieties, pumpkins, potatoes, cabbage, etc.).

- Gourmet pickles to satisy every taste (sweet, spicy, sour, you name it!)

During the peak of the season, there can be up to 20 different vendors.
