Best Local Farm Experience Ever

By: Lilly    (Jan 15, 2009)

This farm is a true gem to find . . . my first experience with this farm was the Spring Plant Sale. There were seedlings for sale that I had never seen before. Talk about biodiversity!

Immediately it was clear that this was the real thing: A true small family farm that truly aims to spread health and benefit the planet. The owners are there personally at the sale. They teach the customers how to grow the plants for themselves, how to cook the veggies, and how to collect the seeds at the end of the season. True generosity of spirit!

In 2008, I signed up for the CSA and was overwhelmed by the great variety offered and all of the literature about health and cooking that accompanied the veggies & herbs!

The only issue I would mention is that there don't seem to be too many CSA spots - at least in 2007 there weren't - I first tried to sign up in the Spring in 2007 and there were no places left.
