I loved this place and was a member for a couple years but last year was terrible- I was heartbroken. Too many shares-overplanting to keep up- even short staffing (for legitimate reasons)- led to few items in weekly distrib -and many things got blight, rot etc from being too crowded in the fields- Strawberries, peas and beans, melons, raspberries-even tomatoes: all either were stunted or had VERY short season and supply. They did not even bother to ration properly so that everyone got some the first day but none of us on latter days of week got it- week after week. Tried to discuss it with them numerous times and they said they did not know what we meant ...but they later admitted many people were upset. They kept saying we agree to take these risks along with them....But I say if the risks result from ignoring what you know- that you cannot overburden the earth every year to sell more shares- then that is foolhardiness and should have led to some type of partial refund or at least an apology! It will be awhile before I trust someone with that much money again with such little accountability from them. That is not what this was all to be about.
