Some of the region's finest pork and lamb
By: Michael Kucher (Mar 9, 2009)
I first started eating Bruce Dunlop's wonderful pork and lamb perhaps five years ago. In a region full of great producers, he ranks with Skagit as one of the tops. Quality is superb, reflecting the tender care and good grass his animals receive each day. In addition to the fine care, they are slaughtered in the most humane way possible, on the farm using the mobile slaughter unit run by Island Grown Farmers Coop. http://www.igfcmeats.com/4.html
Furthermore, Bruce has kept his prices very reasonable, allowing for greater access to his meats.
Sometimes he'll bring a lamb to the market for kids to pet, which can be a real treat. Keep an eye out for his stand.
