Delicious vegetables and great service
By: Penny Graham (Jun 13, 2009)
This is my first year belonging to a CSA, and am I ever glad I joined! The first week brought lettuces, endive, tender beet greens, fresh cilantro, rhubarb, radishes, green onions and herbal tea -- And that's a small share! So far I've made delicious rhubarb sauce, a dinner salad with the greens, parmesan cheese and pine nuts (the dressing recipe used the fresh cilantro) and used the green onions and radishes with eggs from my egg share to make a yummy egg salad for sandwiches. Tomorrow's supper -- Beet greens in a hot bacony dressing! Everything was fresh, beautiful, delicious and with little to no waste. The NWPA Growers Coop coordinator is a wealth of information and everyone I've met has been just super to work with. There are several pick-up sites over the counties covered by the Coop, making things very convenient for us. The NWPA Growers Coop is 3-for-3....Outstanding value and quality for the price, as well as superior customer service!
