This long standing farmers market provides a vital connection between the local farmers and residents for providing healthy fresh food. ItĀ?s a sweet Sat morning walking down the rows of fruits, vegetables, flowers, sweet treats and the occasional locally made dog crackers. Sara Hardy Farmers Market is next to the bay and even on a hot day breezes cool the moving crowds through out the market. There are sounds of people buying and selling. Old friends and neighbors meet up by surprise and chat about the latest doings. Well behaved dogs stay close to their masterĀ?s sides as they push though the busy market rows. Ducks that gather on the river banks sometimes wander to the market edge to the amusement of kids and passers by. Of course these sights, sounds and smells are centuries old and oh so sweet in the virtual age. Sara Hardy Farmers Market provides a rich community gathering place that satisfies heart, body and soul.
