Local, fun and good

Go and support this local farm. The people are great, the settings is pretty, petting zoo and the product is local, fresh and organic. My family has vowed to make at least 12 trips per year. Local farmers and restaurants need one another. I want to benefit from that relationship. The last time I purchased garlic, I discovered it was from China. China, G damn it. I picked up some at Aqua Linda yesterday, stalk with the flower still on the bulb, skin a natural purple, not white from age. And the smell and freshness, out of this world. I experienced something I have not come across in over 40 years of cooking, oil coming out of the garlic clove when I cut into them. Can't get much fresher.
