The real deal
By: Carolyn Hess (May 25, 2008)
Akin farm is exactly what a local produce farm should be. It's not about cute packaging, commercial gimmicks, or any other things that trend-followers who suddenly think they're "green" seem to want when they go to a farm. It's real, organic, natural produce. It's what Texas produces, when Texas produces it. It's about living the way we all should be living, enjoying the local bounty, and eating healthfully. Real locavores will love it, and you can even get a bit of exercise if you regularly go and pick what ever nature has to offer. Be sure to join the winter lettuce CSA--the once a month baking day is awesome!

It would be much more helpful if the reviewer would bother to TELL us where the farm/ranch produce is located so we could actually go there and buy something!!!
I'm sorry to be so dumb but I have no idea what CSA stands for in regard to the lettuce.

Wow ohneclue, that's kind a rude comment to someone who is merely reviewing the farm. There's a little thing called GOOGLE where you can type in "Akin Farm in Texas". It's the craziest thing but information on the farm comes up when you do this...imagine that. It looks like they updated the contact information on this website so now there isn't a need to google. Just a little FYI for the next time your trying to find out information on the internet...Google is your friend.
ps CSA stands for community supported agriculture.
