Still going strong in the winter!

Please note that this market is not where LocalHarvest says it is (on the corner of Ambler & Green) -- it is downtown in the parking lot for Frontier!Texas, on the corner of N. 1st and Mesquite.
The market is getting much larger in the summer, with some new farms offering not just the normal squash and tomatoes, but also honey and bread and herbs! Slowpoke Farms provides great beef, lamb, chicken, and eggs but they run out fast each market day; it's best to contact them in advance if you want something. Through the winter, a few vendors still meet on Saturdays, but it's usually in the afternoon instead of the morning and offerings are obviously more limited. It's a great farmers market for a town the size of Abilene, and growing every year!
