A year of great CSA experiences
By: Talley Hutcherson (Jan 6, 2010)
I became a CSA customer 10/08 and it was a new experience for me. At first I was challenged by it since there were many new things I had trouble identifying in my weekly bag. However on the website there is always a list so once I found that out things got easier. The veg and fruits are fresh, tasty and make me feel great! I have learned to cook new things and differently. I also love the online store where I can add things to my weekly delivery and save time shopping. I visit the farm and feel I understand the effort that goes into growing from a place of real appreciation. My daughter has taken a greater interest in cooking and eating vegetables. We all as a family care about optimal health and well being and feel better knowing who grows the food we eat. I love the flowers Stephenie grows and sends out as part of her weekly delivery. Locally grown honey and farm fresh eggs are another regular part of what we add to our bag each week. If there is a special holiday I know I will hear about availability of natural/organic turkeys, chickens or hams which make it so convenient. The farm makes an effort to encourage visiting on Saturdays when their farm stand is open so I bring my family to visit the goat, chickens, ducks and Icelandic Horse Blaise. I can't say enough about the good things at Seabreeze.
