Memorable Holiday Meal

We had an S&L turkey for our Christmas dinner. I brined it for a little more than 12 hours, with a brine that Linda recommended, and the flavor was outstanding. The white meat was especially juicy. I made gumbo with the stock from bones, too. It was all delicious. It was great to be able to serve my family a bird I knew had been taken good care of. - Amber Nimocks, Raleigh
