Review for: Purebred Icelandic Sheep Millspun Yarn
from: Cherry Creek Farm
By: Wendy Janett (Jun 7, 2010)
I bought this yarn to sample Icelandic wool as part of Clara Parkes' "Woolalong" - a Ravelry group that samples a different breed of wool every month. Frankly, I was a little skeptical about this one, as my previous experience with Icelandic wool had only been with commercially-made, scratchy Lopi-type yarns. But this yarn won me over. It's very soft, yet strong and very warm. It has a nice, almost slippery feel, similar to alpaca. And it knits up with a lovely halo which still exhibiting excellent stitch definition. A wonderful knitting experience!
