Sonoma Mountain CSA at Wild Rose Ranch member review
By: Carol Carr (Sep 21, 2010)
I'm not sure which is a sweeter experience for me - biting into that perfect red ripe strawberry that Elli and Balyn seem to be able to consistently produce from Wild Rose Ranch or watching Elli's smile break out when you ask her how the baby chicks are progressing......They are both wonderful and consistently remind me of how grateful I am to be a member of Sonoma Mountain CSA. Certainly the fresh, organic produce is abundant and bursting with all the good stuff! - flavor, ripe perfection, healthy benefit - and the convenience of having it picked and delivered just for me is a weekly treat that perks me up and makes me feel quite special, but the true magic for me is this opportunity to be a part of something greater that I so believe in. The building of the soil, making it richer each year as it keeps giving and producing, tending the hens, growing veggies, tuning in to the rhythms of the sun and the cycle of the seasons - it all calls to me. I can't go live on a little farm right now, and I could probably never do all the hard work and have all the dedicated commitment and patience and grace it takes to be a successful farmer, but in my heart I know it is so right, and to feel just a little part of supporting that dream by belonging to Elli and Balyn's CSA is a priviledge and a blessing that sustains me well beyond my kitchen counter and my meals from Wild Rose Ranch.
Carol Carr, Santa Rosa, looking forward to my 3rd year of membership and wonderful visits to Wild Rose Ranch
