We had a small family reunion on this East TN family farm this spring and rented their two beautiful cottages The Pinecone and Honeysuckle. Decor and amenities were fabulous and catering by Papa Phil was divine! Ilaeka greeted us and gave us lots of info on the area and answered all our questions. Anytime we needed info on an event or where to go, she was there along with lots of brochures and info packets in the cottages. Although close by when we needed it, they respected our privacy (cottages are private from their farmhouse and have their own entrance from the country road, so you are really in your own little world when you stay here). We fished in the pond and hiked the trails on the property and learned about organic gardening as we took a workshop on garden preparation and organic tips and helped get their garden ready for spring planting. Lots of space to play and relax and very private. We saw deer, hawk, rabbits and lots of birds on our hikes around the farm and hiking the farm's back forest trails. Beautiful views and great hot tub soaks too from our deck! This mountain farm does not have farm animals but they can send you to nearby farms to ride horses and see other farm animals. We want to go back this summer when their garden is producing and their blueberries are coming in! Thanks Papa Phil and Ilaeka for a great family experience. Sometime my husband and I want to come here for a romantic getaway, as not only was it the perfect family getaway, we know it would be a wonderful romantic time for just the two of us!
