A lovely date and great food

Our coworker invited us up for a fundraiser event the farm throws yearly. The live band was amazing (I'm not usually into folk music, but great music and vocals are good in any genre) and the food was better. There was plenty to eat even though I'm allergic to wheat and eggs. (I'm told their fresh eggs are amazing, though.)
Kids were running all over the place, human and goat. So were the peacocks and the hens. Most of the children knew the area well as they take part in the classes. The idea of an educational not for profit organic farm really, really floats my boat. The craft beer was an extra charge, but very good. The organic dinner and live music was $15 a head--more like a dinner at a chain restaurant than what I would expect to pay for fresh organic farm food! We had the pig roast, delicious corn galore, peaches, and the wheat eaters had every type of cobbler imaginable. They told me it was terrible to be polite, then went back for thirds.
I've been keeping an eye out for more events by them and was pleasantly surprised to learn their CSA program DOES deliver for an upcharge. I hope it's to my area! I'll try to swap from my non-organic CSA next season and will update the review if possible to let you know how the delivery service was.
