Karma Acres Honey

By: Pat Gionet    (Nov 28, 2011)

Karma Acres is a small family farm north of Jacksonville, Florida, in Callahan, Florida, not far south of the Georgia line. They produce some of the most incredible honey you could ever imagine. It is a light golden color with a rich and robust flavor and is unbelievably perfect on biscuits, bread, in tea or coffee, or just for holding the jar up to the sunlight and looking through it. This honey is perhaps mostly gallberry honey, which, in my opinion, is far superior to orange blossom honey in fragrance and lightness of palate. It is not strong like avocado honey can be, but perfectly balanced for taste and texture. I would choose this over any honey I have had, and I am a big fan of honey and trying different types everywhere I go. While Tupelo honey generally has the most fans, I would put a jar of this up to a jar of Tupelo any day.
