Organic Pastures changes operation in the dark of night

By: Kevin Smith    (Jul 28, 2013)

Organic pastures used to be the largest distributor of clean wholesome, 100% grass fed raw milk. THEY HAVE RECENTLY CHANGED THIS FACT. Without their customers knowledge or approval, they started feeding their cows CORN! They're also using so called "organic mineral supplement". As most health advocates know, corn is horribly unhealthy and will in turn make the milk an unhealthy source of sugar (weight gain). This company has turned against it's customers and is hoping that the customers won't notice. Check out their website for verification that this product is now poisoned with CORN and artificial supplements. Their products are no longer clean, their cows are no longer 100% grass fed. Please post something warning their customers that Organic Pastures has gone to the dark side. Thank you.

The comment regarding OPDC changing its feed ration quietly is completely untrue. OPDC has fed the same exact ration for 14 years. We have only added better and more minerals. We have always fed pastures, alfalfa and some grain including corn sometimes. Corn is a small part of that grain ration. We have been 100% transparent about what we feed and it is no secret and there has been no changes! Number #1 priority is cow health and food safety. They go together. If the cow is weak or stressed she will produce pathogens in her manure secondary to being stressed and having low energy. We invite anyone with that would like to see OPDC to come take a visit. Corn is not toxic to cows....tons of it changes the rumen Ph and bacteria colonies and can be unhealthy. But we feed very little to support her immunity and keep her in very good energy. This kind of inflamatory comment does not help anyone. If you have a problem with anything at call me and I will listen to your concerns intently. All the best, Mark Mcafee CEO OPDC 559-846-9732
