Skip the grocery store

I have been a vendor and/or a customer of the Plymouth Famers Market since it started as a handful of vendors at Stephens Field in Plymouth (it has grown to over 40 vendors!). You can get all manner of fruit and veggies, meats, fish, fresh cheeses and homemade pastas, prepared foods made using locally sourced ingredients. The super friendly vendors are always happy to talk to you about their growing practices, how the animals are raised, where their ingredients come from, how to prepare what you are purchasing, giving recipes and cooking tips. It is a strong and growing community that aims to make the shoppers feel like part of a family. The music, the grassy field, the incredible variety, the activities for the kids, the community groups supporting us, the cooking demos all add up to it being a Thursday afternoon event really, not just a shopping trip.
