By: Beverly T.    (Jun 20, 2009) LOVE them! they stand for so much more than just selling vegetables and fruits - they educate the shoppers about eating and buying locally, they educate about recycling and encourage it, and even have recycling bins behind the store. They promote no waste (via their shopping bags) - they discourage the use/overuse of plastic bags (they provide paper bags), they reward customers for reusing shopping bags by giving a little refund for using formerly used/purchased bags. They have a world of thoughtfully chosen products w/no hormones, range animals and cage-free chicken (altho' I'm a vegetarian), many many organic products....etc. AND, they donate back to worthy organizations in their local community!
