I had expected a rather tart cheese like the kefir milk I drink but it was very mild! It kept very well on a trip I went on as well. I also like the devotion and care they give their animals; this makes a difference where I buy my dairy as well. I am going to be a repeat customer! Lana Cantrell, Lakemont, GA
Absolutely Wonderful! Kefir Heaven!

Believe me, I was hesitant to order this cheese. As a raw goat milk kefir drinker, I was not sure the cheese would be as good. WAS I WRONG! This is very pleasant, a tiny bit 'tangy' as you would expect but it is so good by itself and I can imagine with about anything. What really prompted me to order it was the humane and diligent effort these people go to making this marvelous superfood. It takes good cattle and lots of care to produce quality cheese and this is it! I also was looking for a way to keep taking my kefir without having to take my milk along and this cheese will keep beautifully on a trip! Thank you for a fantastic cheese experience! I will be back!!

I received part of my very first order from LocalHarvest today. The part received was this kefir cheese.
I couldn't wait to try it. It glided onto a cracker with the greatest of ease. And, it went down just as easy. It's so good, there aren't words to describe this very tasty cheese. It has a mild, lovely tang.
I'm a cheese lover and this will be a permanent cheese in my household.

There are several things that I really like about this product. They use unpasteurized milk, from herds that have been pasture feed. Pasteurization destroys most of the nutrients, beneficial enzymes and bacteria that human beings need. Feeding bovines green grass, which is what nature intended, creates the healthiest milk. Milk from pasture feed animals are very high in fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K as well as vitamin C and carotene (liquid sunshine). Most of us consume foods that are overly processed and depleted of important nutrients. Another benefit of kefir is it is easily digested - even those who are "lactose" intolerant can usually consume kefir that is made from unpasteurized, unhomogenized milk from bovines that have subsisted on grass. If you've been told by your doctor to stay away from dairy - you might be able to get away with this kefir cheese. This product is a very tasty health food loaded with real natural nutrients as well as living enzymes. To sum it up eating healthy nutritious food can be very satisfying to the pallet. I bought two pounds and ate it all within four days.

I would try some of their product. The cheese from Finger Lakes is very tasty and bold. The idea that it is quite healthy too makes it that much better.
