Reviews for: Blossom Grocery
Blossom is a blessing
By: Bruce Creps (Aug 7, 2010)
You gotta like this mom and pop grocery store. Its shelves, bulk bins, and coolers are stocked with real food. The staff is engaged and friendly. The owners know about things like carbon footprints, high-fructose corn syrup, and GMOs and go to great lengths to research and stock items that are produced sustainably and are healthful, fresh, and local. They even have a bulletin board right outside the front door for local farmers to post what crops are currently available at their farms. What a community asset Blossom is. How did we get so lucky?

the store staff are kind, helpful, polite, informative, patient, and generous
the products are pure. there is a huge variety available in a humble and warm environment. they offer excellent prices ( i would expect to pay more but they were even cheaper than where i shop in seattle)
i love this store. i will return again. again.
So much goodness in a small, welcoming space

I've shopped at Blossom for years and appreciate how this business continually refines itself. The owners are responsive to customer requests and have made numerous improvements that create a pleasant shopping environment. I also applaud their service that makes it easy to donate to several local programs simply by "rounding up" at the cash register.
Those are ideas I care about and that influence where I shop. But I wouldn't keep going back if Blossom also didn't provide the freshest produce, quality bulk and packaged foods as well as household and personal items, helpful staff, and competitive prices. This business is an inspiring model of local, sustainable practices.
A real gift to the community!

Blossom has an awesome selection of produce and goods for such a small community. But what I really appreciate is all the research they do before they bring us products. They bring us the most earth-friendly, sustainable, healthy foods and goods that they can, and if asked, will tell you why they have made the choices that they have. They are a wealth of accurate information in an age of too much deception by marketers.
Great little store on a great little island

We love visiting Lopez Island, and Blossom is part of the reason. It's an awesome little natural food store, packing in ridiculous amounts of quality food into a tiny space. Every small community should be so lucky.
A Small but Mighty Store!

I shop at Blossom Grocery almost exclusively. They pack a lot of natural, organic, seasonal, and/or local products into a small store, which makes it easy to get everything you need and get home in a hurry. Other pluses include the helpful staff and reasonable prices. You can't go wrong with this place!
