I work in the Loop and it is convenient for me to run to the farmers market on Thursdays when I am at lunch, wander the different farmers, buy various different things that I can munch on while wandering the farmers market as my lunch, find something delicious to cook with dinner for the next couple of night, buy fresh herbs to grow or cook with. I love the Daley Plaza Farmers Market Thursdays, gives me some hope that people will sponsor local farms in the tri-state area as well as promote organically grown crops, free-range meats, etc.

Daley Plaza Farmer's Market

This farmer's market is the highlight of my week - from the varieties of berries in the spring and summer to the gourds, caramel apples and corn in the fall, plus everything in between. Not to mention the pretzel rolls, cheese curds and incredibly reasonably priced flowers (cut and potted) and herbs available. It's a lovely place to spend my lunch break. I can't wait until it starts up again this year!
