A Fine Sampling of a Little Bit of EVERYTHING!
By: Carolyn Evans-Dean (Nov 21, 2009)
I ordered a few homemade soaps and some osage oranges (hedge apples) from Maple Valley Farms. When the box arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Angela had also included a couple of different scented soaps along with samples of the licorice scented laundry detergent and bittersweet.I was a bit skeptical about candy scented laundry detergent, but it was laundry day, so I decided to try it. It worked wonderfully and the clothes came out very clean and they smell great! I plan to use the soaps for gift baskets and was pleased to see that they are very appealing to the eye and were decorated in raffia and rose hips...Perfect for the holiday season! The items were very well-packed in brown paper and did not seem to shift much at all in the box during transit. During the course of selecting my order items, Angela answered emails promptly, provided additional information and sent an update to indicate when the shipment had been mailed. I would highly recommend this farm for their superior products and service. I will definitely shop with them again!

soap making class
By: Lisa Austin (Nov 13, 2009)
I was priveleged enough to attend Maple Valley Off Grid Farm's SoapMaking class on November 11, 2009. All I can say is, wow. What fun I had learning about soap making, but more than that just watching a large family work together and enjoy it!! This family makes you feel right at home as if you've known them forever. The food was so good and it was nice to just sit around a table with other ladies and chat. I'm so thankful that I happened across this website in time to get to this class. I recommend this farm, this family and Angies classes to everyone.

Cheesemaking Class
By: Tammy Resseguie (Sep 16, 2009)
I really enjoyed the cheesemaking class yesterday. It was nice to see how it is done, step by step. The lunch served afterward was fabulous! My favorite was the thick sliced tomato grown right on the farm of course, topped with the homemade pesto and soft goat cheese with herbs and olive oil. Delicious! Highly recommend if you can make one of these classes, don't hesitate to do it. They are well worth it.

Cheesemaking class a huge success!
By: Cindy Young (Sep 15, 2009)
I took Angie's basic cheesemaking class this morning along with 8 others, and had a wonderful time. She was clear and concise with her demonstrations and had finished products for tasting. Along with the class, we had a hay ride tour of their 40 acre farm and a huge lunch, prepared by Angie and I am sure, her girls! (nearly everything served at lunch was produced on their farm!) Fabulous egg salad on homemade, crusty bread. Tossed salad, fresh tomatoes with homemade pesto, muffins, apple cider, pumpkin cake, and of course, the star of the meal....CHEESE!
YUMMO! Also, fresh, free range eggs for sale, honey, maple syrup, and whatever produce was still available from their gardens. I went home with 3 dozen eggs and 3 Cuckoo Maran hens to round out my own small flock! I would encourage anyone looking for true, farm fresh produce, and a wealth of knowledge, to take any or all of the classes offered at Maple Valley Farms.
You're sure to go home having made some new friends!

Highly Recommended
By: Tammy Resseguie (Jul 15, 2009)
I spent the day last Friday at Maple Valley Farms with my daughter and friends. I would highly recommend it to everyone! They have such a great deal with their CSA, so if you are looking for fresh local food, this is the place to go. We learned so much from Angela and her whole family. The fresh food they served us what fantastic. I am looking forward to the classes they are offering too.
