Awesome local CSA!!
By: Cora Moyer (Sep 23, 2013)
I have been a CSA member at Bauder Farms for 2 years now, and can't recommend them enough. Tom and Debbie are ethical and friendly family farmers who work very hard to provide fresh produce to the community. Tom is very kind and transparent - he is happy to give a tour of the farm so you can see exactly how the vegetables are grown and the practices he employs, such as crop rotation and chemical-free pest repellents. You can trust that you are getting top-quality produce for a very reasonable cost. Every week there is an ample share at pick-up, and you would never find such delicious, fresh veggies at the grocery store. This goes for the eggs as well. The chickens are well cared-for and treated humanely. Have these eggs for breakfast just once, and I guarantee you'll never buy them at a grocery store again!
I love being a member of this CSA. Not only am I doing something good for my family's health and well-being, I feel like I am making a small contribution to the local economy and community. The Bauders have become like family to me - I love spending time helping in the fields and learning something new every week. I have even brought my young daughter to learn about where food REALLY comes from, and she loves to go for a tractor ride! Joining this CSA was one of the best decisions our family has made, and I highly recommend Bauder Farms to anyone in the area considering making the transition to locally-grown produce.
As good as it gets!

Talk about following your passion! Tom has found his calling... and we've enjoyed it since the inception of Bauder Farms CSA.
Every year the crop is delicious & bountiful! My husband & I leave the farm beaming; planning our wonderful week full of meals. Reliable staples like tomatoes, peppers, potatoes & squash... but also, so many opportunities to try something new (rutabaga, bok choy, broccoli rabe...) The list goes on & on. Not to mention the truest free-range eggs, from the happiest chickens around! (I will NEVER buy from a mass produced farm again)
Tom, Deb & Ed work so hard to provide a constant array of farm-fresh produce- and we are so grateful to have found them. We already saved our spot for next year... don't know what we'd do without them. ;0)

This was the first CSA I have joined and I was not disappointed. It's a great value for the money and the vegetables are amazing. It definitely inspired me to try new things and make new recipes out of veggies I've never seen before. I'll definitely be back next year.

It will be a sad day when I have to go to the grocery store for my produce. The season is nearing it's end and what a great season it has been! Bauder Farms is the third CSA I've belonged to and by far the best. Every week I say "What a bumper crop" but i think alot has to do with with Tom and Debbie's farming practices as well as the care and love and hard work they put into this farm. The vegetables they grow are very diverse which gives me the inspiration to try new recipes and it's not the same old boring meal. I hope to see some heirloom varities next year. Even though the season hasn't ended yet, or let up, I'm looking forward to next year. I miss the tomatoes already.
Fresh and Tasty Produce Week After Week

I've subscribed to the CSA at Bauder Farm for about 5 weeks now and I'm never disappointed by the bounty. I split a full share and always have more than enough vegetables for the week. It's worked out to be a great value. The vegetables are picked that morning or the night before and you can tell. Everything is so fresh and so much more flavorful than the produce in the grocery store. Tom and Debbie, the owners, are very friendly and happy to share their knowledge. They're more than happy to give you a tour and talk about their practices. It's been a great experience so far and I always look forward to pick-up day!
