Reviews for: Highland Vista Farm

I have just purchased my second 1/2 hog from Steve. The first was great- nice, tender meat, great bacon ( it went first) and have also purchased other meat direct from the farm. The meat travels well as I took a cooler full to my son in seattle last March. Thanks for making the family farm a continuance of what my grandfather started over 100 years ago. Its a thrill to see this century family farm continuing to produce products of high quality for this generation, with the same dedication to service and quality that generations before, strived to achieve using high work ethics, dedication to quality and true conservation of the land. The Ruegsegger's would be proud. J. R. R. Rodgers

Highland Vista Farm, a "century farm" in Iowa, is owned and managed as a true family farm. Steven, who graduated magna cum laude, from Iowa State University, truly loves the farm and gives it every minute of his time, along with lots of love and hard work.
The products are exactly what he and Colleen tell you they are. A buyer knows what has been put into the food he/she buys. We do not have to wonder from what country the food has traveled. Nor must a buyer worry about what feed or what fertilizer has been used.
We know what we are buying and eating! Thus, our health, the most valuable asset each human has, is being wisely protected. I highly recommend to everyone: Buy your farm food products from Steven and Colleen at Highland Vista Farm!

We have been buying meat from Highhland Vista Farm for a few years now and have been pleased with every purchase. We just had company on Sunday and I served sirloin and ribeye steaks, which were delicious. Our guests even complimented on the great taste!
I like to keep the freezer stocked so I won't be forced to buy at the grocery store, I'd rather go without. It's now hard for me to feed my family meat and eggs that have hormones, antibiotics, etc.
Steve and Colleen are very helpful and do all they can to provide the service and cuts of meat that I request. It's been fun to see them build their business, farm and family!
