Darling and wonderful!

Charming farm and owner. We called and drove out from Gilroy. He went out of his way to wash and give fresh carrots to my kids. He even went to go see if he had any duck eggs for us and gave them freely. We bought all sorts of yummies at his self serve area and we left feeling special. We left a jar of our homemade apple butter as a thank you because our experience was that nice.

Ah, those simple pleasures that make life worth living..
Last May, while thinning beets and pulling weeds in one of the fields at Allan Wilks' organic farm up Branciforte Road, I noticed a couple of rows of little strawberries. I absentmindedly picked one and popped it in my mouth..and OH, WOW!! Intense strawberry sweetness flooded my palate and the most delightfull, pure strawberry aroma filled my nose. I suddenly realized that for the first time in my life, I was experiencing the real strawberry taste.
That little berry exemplifies what Crystal Creek Farm and Pottery is about--small, yes, but concentrated. and sooo good. For over 20 years, Allan Wilks has been organically farming his acreage on Crystal Creek, growing intensely flavorful and nutritious produce. In the process, he has informed and educated many of us about organic farming.
I have enjoyed fruit, vegetables and herbs from Crystal Creek Farm for about 10 years and rate it the best. I'd recommend a visit to Crystal Creek Farm and Pottery. It's a fun, educational and flavorful field trip for the whole family.
Crystal Creek Rocks!

The corn is sugar sweet, the squash is flavourful and tender, the Italian beans put French beans to shame, a raw heirloom tomato enhanced our pizza and changed it from good to "great!" And, the lettuce (Coz (sp?)) is crunchy and oh so delicious! They score a perfect 10!
Crystal Creek Farm is also a great place to visit in a country setting but not far from town. You will receive a warm welcome and a chance to partake in some wonderful fresh vegetables and fruits.

This farm's organic produce is outstanding. Best romaine lettuce I've eaten, and the corn is so sweet and tender I prefer to eat it raw. I love the wonderful range of vegetables with an emphasis on heirloom varieties.

I just cooked up fresh corn and beans from your farm stand. It was great. I really like shopping at Crystal Creek and happy to see the honor code still works for you. The prices are really reasonable and the vases, bowls and other ceramics are really a bargain. I look forward to coming up when your primitive firing workshop happen in November. Keep thoses fresh vegies coming, I'll be back

Thank you for comments. We served BBQ corn to a group of fellow potters last night. A very simple way to enjoy this one of natures treats. Just soak the corn, husk and all, in water and toss it on the grill to brown. The ceramic pieces that you saw at the farm stand were waiting for a specific customer's pick-up. In the future, we may add some pottery to the stand but, for now, the show room is in the main farm house and open by appointment only.
