My favorite day of the week
By: Tom Jansen (Jun 16, 2009)
Before we retired Friday was our favorite day of the week. Friday has been replaced by Thursday because Thursday is the day that we pick up our fresh CSA produce.
The produce is always clean and probably out of the ground, or off the vine or tree for only a few hours before we can enjoy the efforts of our CSA producers. They offer a great variety of organic produce. Recipes are often included so we do not discard any stem or leaves that are muy rico (very tasty)!!
We are now enjoying a greater variety of very healthy foods. For a nominal fee our pick up day also includes a bouquet of fresh flowers.
This our second year as a CSA supporter. We are very satisfied customers. Our only regret is that there is only one Thursday in a week.

The review title is not just because I'm the first, but because this is the level of service these two farms provide. I try to stick with the "100 mile diet", and to be able to get this variety and quality of produce is unbelievable in our area. I've been getting fruits from Lissa and produce from Cristy and Grant at the Hackensack Farmer's market for years. I knew I would not be disappointed. I was introduced to new vegetables and varieties, supplied with recipes, and the service went above and beyond the norm! I know your second year will be even better and I am glad I'll be a part of it. Kathye
I don't know if this site will accept a picture of not, but this is my kitchen counter on 9/18 with miniature eggplants, multi-colored peppers, squash, greens and the big blue bag is full of apples!
