At first, I enjoyed the fresh produce I could get on a weekly basis. Now I enjoy the ongoing relationships with my local farmers and learning more about what I can do with what I purchase. I can purchase produce, cheese, wine, meat, baked goods, plants, and much more, and I feel good about buying direct from my farmers.

Whenever my husband and I visit my parents in Geneva, we are so envious of how close everyone is to their food. The Farmers Market allows the growers of this food to keep it within the reach of the community by selling it directly to them.

The Geneva Market is a model market for NY State. We meet the needs of the customer with home grown fruitsl vegetables, herbs and local honey, eggs, cheeses, baked goods and crafts. Occasionally lamb and poultry is also available. The market features the Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons which enable WIC mothers and income eligible senior citizens to purchase fruits and vegetables at a discount. The coupons which are accepted by the farmers are then deposited into their bank acounts like cash. It is a win/win situation. It helps the farmers with more purchases and it helps those in need with more of an opportunity to purchase fresh items. Go New York State.
