Reviews for: Roots Down Community Farm
Unprofessional work environment
By: Hawthorn McCracken (Aug 27, 2014)
As a former field hand (I left before the end of one season) I got to hear first hand how the owner of this farm spoke down about other local growers. Not only were many of his other employees disreputable, but I was witness to multiple family arguments and other drama that had no place in a business environment, even such an informal one as a farm.
I can say that this farm produces very nice shares, and the varieties of veggies they grow are often unique and flavorful. If you have no interest in a work share or a job, perhaps this is a CSA for you. If you're a fellow farmer, well, the backstabbing might not be appealing.
Roots Down farm is the best and growing

This is the first year I have ever been part of a CSA. I was and still am very excited to be part of one. Kyle is one of the nicest people you will meet. He is genuine and his care for the love of food and the earth show in the produce he puts out each week. His produce is excellent and the variety is great each week. Working tirelessly 6 days a week as all farmers do, Despite a recent large storm that tried to put him down, Kyle stands strong in adversity. I look forward to staying with this growing farm and seeing all that it can achieve.
