Burnet Tx Farmers Market
By: Carol Toohey    (Jul 12, 2009)

Fantastic small town market with a big big heart. Not only do you find great fruits, veggies and plants but also baked goods and local crafts. In addition, beef from the local area, and shrimp and fish up from the Texas gulf coast. The kind of market where you know the vendors names, they remember what you bought last week and recipes are swapped for tyring that new fruit or veggie. A real "hometown" market, friendly. Come visit this small but thriving market, you may be surprised at who you run into or what you might learn.

To get very fresh vegetables, some organic vegetables and other fresh food. I meet the nicest and friendliest people in Burnet County here every Saturday morning thanks to the local Master Gardeners for sponsoring this community program

Even though we live in Houston, we have visited the Burnet Farmer's Market many times and have always gotten superior produce. It is great to be able to support the local farmers and enjoy the taste of home grown vegetables. We appreciate all the hard work and time that is involved in getting ready for each Saturday's market.
