Sol y Sombra hosted a dinner with Terroir a restuarant based in Longmont. One of the most outstanding meals we have had this summer! There were lots of interesting ingredients like the Jimmy Nardello peppers from the farm that added a unique flavors to the dishes. Sass winery from Oregon was delicious. The farm is in a beautiful setting with amazing views of Longs peak. We had a great time and an even greater dinner.

I love my CSA shares from Sol Y Sombra! I have had CSA's from other farms but none compare. So much to love: the veggies are delicious; bountiful; creative; washed; delivered; beautiful & there is high attention to details -- such as most weeks come with fresh cut brightly colored flowers, they seem to mix up the veggies each week so you don't get too warn out making the same ones every week (although, I will admit we've been getting lots of zucchini & summer squash several weeks in a row...but that's summer time!) and everything arrives in a basket at my doorstep. I appreciate getting my veggies from a small farm where it seems more care can be given to each person & to the food itself.
Very highly recommend!
I wish I had done this years ago!

I love this service. We get to experience a variety of vegtables we would not otherwise have thought to buy at the farmstand. Their variety on a weekly basis is terrific. Best of all it is delivered to my door. We look forward to delivery day and the anticipation of what we might find in our basket. Sol y Sombra has a great business and we are thankful to be supporting our local farmers!

Great Food, Great Deal

Every week I look forward to the fresh produce delivered to my door step. Years ago I had a CSA but found some weeks I didn't have time to go a pick up my share. Having the delivery just make so much sense. The produce looks great and comes very clean requiring only minimal washing. They are obviously doing something right because the flavors are amazing. Everything from the Carrots, Lettuce, Cucumbers, Onions, and Chillies tastes so Superior to anything you can buy in a super market. I would highly recommend a CSA with Sol Y Sombra to anyone. Joel.
Locally grown produce!

I am so excited to find Sol y Sombra here on Local Harvest, and to my surprise read about their CSA share! Last summer I would ride my bike to their farm stand each week to collect my tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, lettuce, basil and so much more. Their produce is locally grown and without any nasty products!
One day as I sat staring at the plump tomatoes, I had the opportunity to meet the two ladies who run the garden. From the smiles on their faces to the dirt caked into their fingernails I could tell that they were doing what they love to do. And what a wonderful thing to be able to share it with the rest of us! I am so excited to sign up for their CSA and receive a large variety of produce this summer. I recommend this farm as it is always nice to support small local businesses. What have you got to lose besides a bunch of food that was NOT grown in your neighborhood?
