Folks, I've know the Thaxton's a long time and the garlic has by far been the star in their garden since '98- Of course it helps being a fellow Italian who desperately loves good, fresh garlic-Fred and Chris are passionate about good food, good company and good times; it is no surprise their garlic is exceptional--it truly is the crown that makes whatever it touches just perfect. My only regret is I can't get it often enough!

Put it in pesto and it was a nice addition. Have enjoyed many pasta dinners with thaxtons garlic. Only problem is...we need more garlic!

The Thaxtons are some of the most friendly, honest, knowledgeable and hard-working people I've ever met, and their dedication to quality local and organic farming is second to none. I've had the privilege of visiting their farm on many occasions, and have helped them harvest garlic in the past. They have extremely high standards of quality - not only for the garlic itself, but for the soil it grows in, the way it is cleaned & the way it is stored. Their cement-floored barn is clean & well-organized, and it's a fine sight to see all the garlic hanging in rows at the peak of the harvest :)
Chris and Fred are a joy to work with, and I can't be enthusiastic enough in recommending their farm to anybody with a taste for great garlic.
