We stopped in for the Farmer's Market and stayed for the yummy breakfast and to listen to the great local music. We had a really nice time at this beautiful place! We WILL be back!

Bring the kids!
By: Deborah Ward    (Oct 19, 2011)

The Coffee Mill has something for everyone, even the kids. The chickens are beautiful, the music is fun, the food is great, and it's a gorgeous setting. Come for the Christmas in the Country craft (and jam creations) event on November 11th--don't miss it!

Idyllic destination
By: Lehua Marjorie Wells    (Aug 30, 2011)

On any day, the Mill's food is delicious, ultra-fresh, and immaculate. I enjoy the creative touches and combinations, too -- nothing same-o about these meals. But on market day the Hilo Coffee Mill really blooms. Along with their own fine food and superb coffee, vendors bring additional specialties and gourmet "prizes" against a backdrop of big sky, sweeping rainforest vistas, varied and always excellent music, and convivial people who share a love of our land and its harvest. The owners knock themselves out to support and nurture their producers and this brings big benefits to us customers, too. And on top of that, you can always get good recipes, how-to grow advice, and some interesting history.

This is a must-visit farmer's market
By: Kim Hoffman    (Aug 30, 2011)

I have visited this market several times and must say it is one of the most charming I have seen. Live music, a petting zoo (check for availability), freshly brewed coffee grown right on the farm, a covered seating area so you can "talk story" while you eat breakfast and listen to live music, and friendly proprietors. One of the things I admire most about this market is their commitment to selling only locally grown produce. Enjoy your visit!

Excellent stopover for visitors or residents
By: Bill Eger    (Jul 22, 2010)

It's a wonderful drive from Hilo to Volcano Village, with small villages dotted among fields of crops as well as small ranches. At about the half-way point you see Hilo Coffee Mill's attractive grounds. Go inside!

In addition to getting some of the best coffee you could ever hope to enjoy, there are breakfast, lunch and afternoon fare that represents fine Hawai`i-grown foods.

Saturday mornings are special with a farmers market that has everything from live music to arts and crafts plus wonderful servings of breakfast choices that are hard to beat anywhere!

Recommended!

Best In Puna
By: Leslie J. Whited    (Apr 13, 2010)

Hilo Coffee Mill's "Market at the Mill" is quite a beautiful location. Tall graceful trees, sweeping greens, coffee trees, with walkways through a multitude of flowers surround the vendors and the Mill itself. I was tickled to see free range chickens in all colors roaming and clucking to their hearts content.

Vendors have local produce, arts, crafts, fresh pasta and yummy baked goods. There is live music from 9-12pm, and tasty breakfasts grilled to order. The coffee is to lIve for! The decorative plants for sale range from big hearty puakinikini to tiny tillanzias in sea shells. There are artisans that work with wood, for delightful planters w/ flowers to some of the most beautiful and comfortable hand crafted wood furniture I've seen. Not only is it a great place to shop, meet and visit friends, it's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy all that Hawaii has to offer. You will love the people there, for they have true ALOHA.

I rate this market "Best of Puna"
