This has been our first year in a CSA, and it was Big Head Farm's first year too. We're over halfway through the growing season, and husband and I have really enjoyed our half share. Some weeks you get more than others; sometimes you have more cucumbers than you know what to do with; but all of that is just how food works (or should work), which is a lesson we've enjoyed learning. Plus, we feel like we eat way more veggies than we otherwise would (and way less meat - totally saves on groceries), with enough left to make tomato sauce, blanch and freeze corn and green beans, etc. On top of that, Karen and Jody are phenomenal. Karen is always cheery, accommodating, and incredibly hardworking! There's always room for improvement, but I think they deserve 5 stars for a great first year.
