Local and fresh!
By: Mopsy Forsee    (Apr 15, 2010)

More than a farmers market, this gathering is a weekly neighborhood party. With great music, delicious pastries, shady places to sit, and the friendliest farmers in the state, I look forward to shopping for my veggies every week. Now when was the last time you got excited about grocery shopping?

Love East Lake Farmers Market
By: Gina Rob    (Apr 13, 2010)

I purchased baskets all through last season and loved them. Our family will be doing it again this year. The quality of the food is excellent. I aways poke through and see if I need to purchase extras from the farmers that sell there. The farmers are very nice and are all local. It's good to know you are buying local and not from food shipped to them from California or Mexico. I especially like how they include recipes about how to use up your vegetable bounty. Another plus is the atmosphere of the market. They have music and local artists. People are often with their dogs. We look forward to bringing our new dog down to listen to the music this season! :) I've reommended and brought several of our friends to the market.

East Lake's FABULOUS farmer's market
By: helen williams    (Apr 13, 2010)

This is such a great market! The food is delicious, farmers are very knowledgeable and love to chat about their food, there is live music for dancing, a craft tent for creating, theres always a local artist or two selling their works, and the folks who host the market are AWESOME! Added bonus #1-the people who live in the neighborhood are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Added bonus #2- Ruffner Mountain is just a few blocks away so you can get in an early morning hike before it gets too hot, then head over to the market to relax and refresh! Highlight of the summer!!!!
