Fresh Air Fund Picnic
By: joyce foley (Aug 22, 2010)
This was the third year that children from the Warner Friendly Town Fresh Air Fund spent a memory making day with the Canane Family at Cascade Brook Farm. What a wonderful experience for these inner-city children to enjoy the beauty of this special spot overlooking Kearsarge Mountain and learn about caring for the rodeo horses as well as the thrill of riding one around the ring. The kids and their host families enjoyed a picnic and loved sampling the delicious locally grown fruits and vegetables. Cascade Brook Farm exudes hospitality and generosity and provided a memorable experience for these children who perhaps might never experience the beauty of nature which abounds at this very special place.
Rodeo Adventure Day @ Cascade Brook Farm

Clearly the best fieldtrip this year for the New London Recreations Sun N' Fun Adventure Camp.
Our group of about 25 kids thrived on all of the individual attention. They learned a tremdous amount about horses, farming, roping steer and were still talking about it for weeks after. Ed , Cindy and both the Katies (farm hands/horse handlers) did a great job keeping the group focused , on task and excited about the day's events.
Kuddos to you all! We were so appreciative to have had such an entertaining day.
Fresh local beef.

We have been enjoying fresh locally grown beef from Cascade Brook Farm for nearly 6 months. The taste is hearty and beyond compare with a tender texture, and packaging that was perfect for our young family. We were able, actually encouraged, to tour the farm and meet our steer. We were impressed with the beautiful pasture lands, as well as the cleanliness and friendliness of the cattle. Equally impressive is the commitment of Ed and Cindy to raising naturally healthy and happy Angus beef. We couldn't be happier! Lori and Nathan Richer
