Reviews for: Good Work Farm
Our Good Work Farm experience was great
By: Carolyn Spivak (Dec 29, 2011)
This was our first CSA experience and it was a real pleasure all around. The produce was excellent and varied, with a good mix of the familiar and the not-so-familiar. Going to the farm each week for pick-up was something we looked forward to and were never disappointed. The u-pick was fun and we still are eating some of it from our freezer. Sara and Anton were both a treat and kept their cool while working extremely hard under not-always-excellent weather conditions this year. I especially appreciated their professionalism about farming - which was recognizable even to a non-farmer like me. And also, their approach to the business end was very good: they kept in touch, kept members updated with information, and in general acted like seasoned farmers despite it being their first year. It's one thing to believe in supporting local farmers - actually doing it turned out to be better than I could have imagined. I wholeheartedly recommend them.
We Love Good Work Farm

Living in Coopersburg, PA, we are less than 15 minutes away from Good Work Farm. We had been looking for a CSA close to our home for 3 years. When we found GWF here at localharvest.org, we were eager to sign up. It has literally been a dream come true. Our family share each week has been an abundant variety of just harvested, seasonal, organically grown vegetables. We've been able to try so many new vegetables for the first time, and it has kept our family healthy and well nourished. We loved picking tomatoes, green beans, limas, bell peppers, egglants and more in the u-pick fields. Sarah and Anton are amazing farmers who are able to flow with nature and adjust to the ups and downs. They are amazing planners, they work so hard, and they have such positive energy. We are very thankful to have them, and we are so looking forward to next year with GWF.

Anton and Sara have extensive training in organic vegetable production through the Seed Farm, Lehigh County's Agricultural Training Farm and Penn State Extension. I am so impressed by their farm plan which will ensure the timely planting and harvest of all their crops and the best, ecological management of any possible pests through crop rotation and cultural controls. Their commitment to providing the community fresh, wholesome food is commendable and they have found a practical way to do it through work shares. I look forward to working with them more this year and you will love buying your vegetables from such fun, hardworking farmers.
