enriches more than your kitchen

The combination of Madison Farmers Market and CSA is absolutely fabulous! Wonderful people, great stories, fun recipes, amazing vegetables, and lovely fruits -- what else could you ask for? Every week we get a combination of veggies that keeps dinner colorful and nutritious, makes us experiment with new recipes (Tunisian cabbage stew), and branch out into canning (the joy of pickled beets in January). Whether its greens (for lovely salads) or cushaws (for spicy soups), the CSA is full of inspiring surprises and brings joy into every week. I've also learned a lot about eating seasonally and about some new vegetables. After only one year I am hooked and am eager to discover more new things as the CSA keeps growing in ever so many ways. Never a Disappointment!
By:    (Mar 14, 2011)

I have, for three years, been a member of the Madison Area Growers CSA (MAGIC). I eagerly await their wonderful treats in the Spring and am saddened when the fall comes with the last bag of goodies. The farmers educate me on "new" items, how to clean, cook, and store. They also give me delicious recipes and personal favorite hints for dishes. I am rewarded each time I pick up my weekly bags with foods, conversation, and specialty items that the families have made. The CSA is one of the best investments I have ever made. Helen Cope

Love Madison CSA

I have been taking advantage of the Madison CSA since it started. Each year it gets better. I love trying new vegetables - the Cushaw was the biggest hit of last season. And the little purple potatoes. I appreciate the variety and the quality.
