Bountiful Harvest for Valley Families
By: Bruce Olson    (May 1, 2013)

We're approaching our fourth year with Burr Oak Gardens and are looking forward to the upcoming seasonal offerings they provide families in the Fox Valley area. One of the owners, Kate Rowe, is an Appleton native, who is proud to bring her soon to be organic certified produce back to her home town. We have been pleased with the variety, quantity and quality of the produce they provide. When there are vegetables that are a bit more exotic than what you typically find in the grocery store, they provide a number of delicious recipes in their weekly newsletter to help you prepare things you might otherwise not know how to prepare. Their operation is efficient. Their demanor personable. Exactly what you would want from a small family owned business! Burr Oak Gardens is a credit to the CSA movement and I would highly recommend it.

Signing up again!
By: Emma Pelton    (Apr 23, 2013)

Great farm, great farmers, and a great deal---I love the option to include flowers and the 50% off you-pick strawberry weekend for CSA members. I'm signing up for a second year!

It's nice how close to Madison the farm is, so it's easy to go visit.

Great CSA!
By: Casey Eggleston    (Mar 30, 2012)

We have been very impressed with the quantity, quality and variety of the vegetables from Burr Oak gardens. Our share has added many new recipes every summer and has taught us to how to prepare vegetables that we cannot pronounce. The drop off locations are very convenient for downtown Madison as well.

Outstanding Produce
By: David & Kate Carlson    (Mar 15, 2011)

Kate and I were pleasantly surprised with the amount and quality of the vegetable offerings of Burr Oak Gardens. It was amazing how much our grocery store shopping dropped during the 20 week CSA season. And we believe we saved a lot of money in comparison to buying vegetables elsewhere.

We especially like Tyler and Kate's conscientious efforts and diligence to provide organic vegetables that are safe to eat and good for you.

We are already enrolled for the 2011 season!

Best tasting vegetables!
By: Eileen Flatley    (Mar 14, 2011)

I couldn't believe how much better vegetables could taste until we joined Burr Oak Gardens in 2010. The variety and quality of the produce was excellent - and it was a real bargain for the 20 weeks of the season. We're really looking forward to the 2011 season and getting the tastiest, freshest vegetables out there!

We are very excited for spring to arrive, so we can get down and dirty! Both Don & I love working in the garden. It has been a wonderful experience for us and we look forward to working with Tyler, Kate, Brady, Greg, Molly, Bruce, Eileen and who ever else comes out to help. It's nice to have sites like this to connect to. Happy spring!

By far the best!
By: Leah Olson    (Mar 14, 2011)

We have participated in 2 other CSA's before joining Burr Oak Gardens. This has been by far the best experience for us. Quality, quantity and variety far exceeded our expectations. The weekly newsletter is full of great recipes that helped us learn how to use some of the less common veggies. Can't wait for the 2011 season to start!
