Five Seeds is the Worst CSA.
By:    (Oct 23, 2014)

This is the third CSA I have partaken in and by-far the worst. The quality of the produce is mediocre at best and the amount of produce is embarrassingly little. The owner loves to state that the weekly share is worth something like $33 but if you go to the farmer's market, you could easily get triple what you are given for that same amount of money. There are weekly excuses about the weather/crop failures/pest infestations. I understand there is a certain amount of risk associated with the CSA, but every week it is something with the promise that next week's share will make up for it. It never does. This is not the least expensive CSA in Baltimore and I really feel like everyone involved was really taken advantage of. I suspect the owner over-promised (probably due to his involvement with the City's CSA program) and then realized he could not deliver. This was an overall terrible experience that left us upset every single week.
