Reviews for: YB Normal Suri Alpacas / Wear & New Way Farm
Delightful Farm and farmer!
By: Jan O'Neill (Mar 4, 2013)
We have visited this farm many times. There is a huge variety of crops being grown. Evelyn the owner is very sweet and knowledgeable about her crops and the beautiful alpaca products in her cute store. She uses organic methods to grow her vegetables which we really appreciate! Her alpaca socks and yarns are to die for! I would recommend this farm to all my friends.
Great first-time experience with a CSA

My favorite thing about being involved with a CSA was the opportunity, and sometimes challenge, of enjoying all the produce that was available as it became available. I cook, so it was fun to experiment with things I'd never cooked before, including things I didn't think I liked. Beets. Beet greens in salads, grated beets in salads (with goat cheese!) was new for me. I tried different things with Swiss Chard than I'd done before, and perhaps my favorites were the peas and beans. The only thing better than shelling peas under the shade of the hemlock in my back yard was eating them. Frizzled cabbage, colcannon, cole slaw and sauerkraut, corn on the cob, sweet corn salsa, corn pudding. Tomatoes like candy. Beans roasted on the grill with a bit of olive oil and vinegar. Yum.
Such Abundance at a great value!

My husband and I live in the City of Buffalo and signed up for 1/2 a share. We have been very pleased with the quality and quantity of the organic produce we have received. With the cost much less than other CSAs, the value is incredible. Plus they have a pick-up location in the city. It is super convenient. I highly recommend this farm.
