If you get a chance to visit Mildred's Daughters for a tour or a workshop, you will not be disappointed. These ladies rock! They gracefully farm an acre of land in the middle of a residential urban neighborhood without batting an eye, and they're eager to answer any and every question you have about farming. Check out their chickens, row crops, and strawbale meeting space for a fun farm visit. Better yet, shop at the local farmers markets to find their delectable heirloom tomatoes and fresh herbs. Whatever you do, find a way to support these local lady farmers, who bust their butts for the sheer joy of farming.
