Great food, great people!

I found Meadowset Farm when I started looking into local honey - and I discovered new friends in the process. The Schaers happily share their wealth of knowledge about local farming and sustainability, and all of their products (lamb, eggs, herbs, honey) are of exceptional quality. The cuisine they cook up in their kitchen is also phenomenal - huge thanks to Barb for getting me started with lamb shanks in the slow cooker and baking my own bread.
Having a hard time getting the 5 stars tool to light up, but if there were 10 stars, I'd give them all to Meadowset. C'mon out and support the farm so they can move ahead with a raw milk license ... the cheese Tom makes from his sheeps' milk is like nothing else on earth.
Pasture raised lamb and European style cheeses

We found the lamb at this farm to be the highest quality. We also got some fabulous cheese and local honey - to die for. It's a beautiful farm and they are giving the animals a wonderful life. And Tom's European background influences how he makes the lamb sausages, the honey, and the cheeses. We found Tom by searching this website and he happened to live just minutes from us so we were very happy about that. He does a yearly 'open farm' in the spring to show off his shearing skills and to taste some of his products. And he has a wonderful display of Swiss cow bells hanging from the rafters in his barn.
Don't take our word for it. Email him yourself and set up a time to go see him. If you enjoy lamb - ground, sausage, chops - then you need to give him a call.
