Reviews for: Fraziers U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

dont take your kids here!
By: penny sadler    (Jun 12, 2009)

My kids and I visited here through a school field trip and while the older gentleman driving us around during the tour was nice, he was the only one. The lady who was giving the speech about the kinds of pumpkins probably has been around small children in quite a long time. Even the adults were bored, I guess some people take their pumpkins way too seriously. All the staff was real snippy too as if they were just too bothered when asked questions. The stem on the pumpkin of one of the boys in our group broke and we asked if he could have another pumpkin but they refused and were rude about it. I guess they expected a 5yr old to be an expert pumpkin handler. Luckily I had bought some extra pumpkins and we gave him 1 of ours so he would stop crying poor thing they made him feel so bad. You would think by the way they treat folks there that the tours were free but in fact we paid for our over 30 kids and parents. These people should really find a new job as they don't enjoy children but have no problem taking their money . And the animals on display looked so sad and smelled so bad plus the children aren't even allowed to pet them. So all in all an experience that I'm glad the teachers at our school have decided never to repeat again. Next year we'll take our kiddos to the pumpkin patch on Amargosa Rd. in Victorville where the children are allowed to pet the animals and they have games and crafts for the kids. Also the couple that run it looove children.

We do not advertise a "Petting" zoo

I guess another alternative to the "real" farm experience would be to take kids to a Pumpkin "lot" with bounce houses. It's obvius that some adults have not been to a farm. What farm animals don't smell like farm animals?

Disappointed

I was enjoying the day with my three children at our annula trip to this pumpkin patch. Taking pictures, picnic, picking out pumpkins. We made our way into the "barn" area where there are lots of pumpkins. My two younger children were looking at the tiny pumpkins. I looked over and saw this old woman giving my 7 year old the most horrible death stare I've ever seen. I seriously thought lazers were going to start shooting from her eyes! I looked down at him and he was holding a little pumpkin. I guess he tossed one back in, and she just couldn't handle that. She just went off at me, yelling at me to get my gets out of the "barn". It was completely humiliating and embaressing. She could have handled it in a much better way. I will never return here again. I would much rather take my family to a kid friendly pumpkin patch.

Maybe your 7 year old needs to be taught how to treat other peoples property

We have been going to the Fraziers U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze for years and have enjoyed every trip. Their prices are excellent and ther tours are wonderful. It is great for homeschool or public school trips alike. I would recommend that you not miss out on this wonderful family fun!
