River Bend Alpacas is located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mts. in upstate New York. We sit along side the Beaver River and are about 1/2 mile back into the woods!

Raising huacaya alpacas has allowed me to both be with animals that I love, as well as it offers me the opportunity to run a business from my home environment. Currently there are 19 alpacas residing here and we expect another 8 cria to be born next summer / fall!

Shearing takes place in early spring and is done by myself. I prepare the fleeces here and then send most of them on to be processed at a mill into roving and yarn. Raw fleeces are also available for the fiber artists / hand spinners who are interested. (more...)
