Rough Draft Farmstead

We (Jesse and Hannah) met working on a small farm in southern Kentucky called Bugtussle. While interning there together, learning about biodynamics and grass intensive management, we also managed to fall in love. In December of 2011, we set forth on their own venture, renting family land and running a CSA out of Danville, KY.

After lots of ups and downs and a crazy year, we found ourselves heading back to where it all began - Bugtussle, Kentucky - where we bought 7 1/2 acres from our friends and mentors and are now starting over...building an off-the-grid cabin, clearing land for pasture, and homesteading. Rough Draft Farmstead uses only natural and biodynamic growing practices, growing diverse fruits and vegetable for our CSA in Bowling Green, Kentucky. For more information about our homesteading adventures and about our CSA, please follow along with our story at our website
